These carpets are so fine that some of the larger ones take years to weave. Silk carpets have over one million knots per square meter.
Because the knap of the carpets is so tight, the colors actually lighten or darken depending upon their placement in the room, hence the term "Magic Carpet".
SILK Carpets look delicate but silk is actually the most durable of all fibers. Six silk threads woven together can actually
pull a jet aircraft! Silk carpets are made in various styles throughout Turkey.
