Sumak carpets are Kilim-style (no pile) with intricate embroidered patterns and figures. They are produced by nomadic tribes
in the Mount Ararat region Eastern Turkey and are becoming increasingly difficult to find.
SUMAK carpets have often been referred to as Noah's Ark carpets because animals are prominently featured in these carpets.
These carpets are durable on the floor but also make fine wall hangings.
